Back to School night

These are pictures of Sammy and his self portraits on back to school night. The school managed to irritate me that evening, by sending home flyers that stated the school would be open from 6-8 pm. Actually, the only place you could go from 6 to 6:30 was the library, where they were holding the book fair. I had to leave by 6:30 to drive other kids around to various activities, so I ended up fuming in the library for 30 minutes and didn't get to visit the classrooms.

Brownie

Ellie joined a Brownie troop this year - she's having a great time at the meetings. 

Last Game

This was Maddie's last game on the Killer Bees. She had a rough season this year - after the 3rd game she was diagnosed with mono and sat out for over a month. When she finally returned, her best friend broke her leg at the very next game, which of course knocked her out for the season. 

Supermen

We had three Supermen at our annual Halloween potluck. After this picture, I was having too much fun and neglected my camera, so I need Granny Haddow to download Picasa and share an album of her photos from Halloween with me.

I cleaned out my garage today and found undeveloped rolls of film. This is one of the pictures we found. 

Worker Bee

Ben was introduced to the lawn mower today. He did a good job on the front yard, while Dad did the edging and the back. I think we're the only people on our street who cut our own grass, so the least we can do is make our children do the work. 

Freckles

Maddie got a perm this weekend. I thought it was a bad idea, along with everyone we know, but it actually turned out very nice. She reminds me of Evangeline Lily from Lost in this picture, except of course 10 times more beautiful. 

A Kid being a Kid

Sammy got a trip to Chuck E Cheese this past Friday, after earning two green behavior stamps for the week. We've had a pretty rough start to kindergarten, so we set the bar for reward very low. His next goal is to get three stamps in a week, which will merit a trip to McDonalds and some time on their indoor playground.
